The program is for postgraduate students who meet the eligibility requirements. Selected candidates’ tuition fees will be discounted against the average amount the University of Lincoln charges non-recipients of the scholarship award admitted to pursue postgraduate degrees.


The amount that will be discounted for each candidate is around £4,000. However, the award is for the first year of their studies at the University of Lincoln, which means the recipients will be responsible for their full tuition fees afterwards.

• You can apply for the program if you are a citizen or permanent resident of an African country.

• You must have a conditional or unconditional offer from the host university for a full-time program starting September/October 2023 or January/February 2024.

• You must have received a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a second-class upper or more.


You must have received a pre-master qualification from a recognised institution with a second-class upper or comparable honour.

You must have received a Master’s degree from a recognised institution with a merit or comparable grade.

You must possess the English language proficiency requirements of the host university.
